Look, Mr Dakgalbi has been consistently delivering delicious meals over the years. What's more they survived the pandemic, so there's even some longevity going for them. But reading the other reviews made me think about their service. Were my family and I treated badly? No. Were the staff smiling and friendly? Also no. But on our visit on busy Christmas day, they delivered where it counts. When I wanted to change tables because the original table was too warm, the boss obliged. Drinks, appetisers and food were served on time, and cooked well. Nobody made a fuss when I asked for kimchi refills. And the bill was settled at the counter promptly. And of course the food. Their dakgalbi perfectly balances sweet, salty and spicy, even my children enjoyed them. Large chunks of chicken, crispy pan-fried rice, rich mozzarella cheese, generous helpings of teokbokki, and the evergreen ramen. All were delicious. Will I come again? Of course. Seoul Maru might be better, but far. And I definitely prefer here over the filthy scammers from Restoran BBQ Korea dan Jepun Misa, who stopped my 90-minute buffet after an hour because they were looking after their profits rather than customers. Please give yourself some respect and never step foot into Misa. If food does the talking, Mr Dakgalbi stands on their own merits. Their food talks the loudest.
