Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah in Bandar Meru Raya has a new late-afternoon stop. Cabin Cafe Bean Here!, run by Silver Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned Perak State Development Corporation subsidiary, opened on the roundabout lawn with a ceremony officiated by tourism exco Loh Sze Yee on 29 August 2026. Bernama carried the notice on 2 September. The format is a cabin kiosk in an active recreation field, not a mall lot, and the hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 4pm to midnight.
A cabin on the lawn, not a mall kiosk
PKNPk's photos from opening night show folding chairs on the grass, string lights, a live band, and the Bean Here! cabin with the coffee bar facing the lawn. That is the point of this site. BSAS is already a roundabout people use for evening walks, fun runs and state events. Putting a cabin here means you can drink after a lap of the circle without driving into Station 18 or Greentown.
Silver Lifestyle director Nur Ismail Mohammed told Bernama the BSAS cabin is part of a slower expansion of a local coffee brand "close to the community." He also said the company is open to institutional partners. That is civil-service language for: they will keep planting Bean Here! in campuses, hotels and public land rather than chasing a high-street kopitiam war in Old Town.
Bernama's copy on the cabin menu is thin on purpose. It says simple, quick meals and drinks "suited to current tastes." I would not invent a cabin-only list. If you need names, look at what the same brand already sells at its other Ipoh sites: chicken tenders, nachos, a Black Forest Spanish latte and a cinnamon latte were the new items Silver Lifestyle put out when it opened at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Ipoh in April. Treat those as the house range, then read the board on the cabin because a lawn kiosk will almost certainly cut the list after dark.
Hours that match the roundabout after dark
Wednesday to Sunday, 4pm to midnight, is a specific choice. The cabin skips Monday and Tuesday. It also skips the breakfast slot that Old Town white-coffee shops live on. This is an after-work and weekend-night stop for people already in Meru Raya, not a morning kaya-toast run. If you are on the ETS and only have a morning in Ipoh, go to Old Town. If you are staying in Meru, Casuarina, or the hotels off the North-South Expressway and you want a coffee after 8pm without a mall, this is the closer option.
Bring cash and a Grab pin for "Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru." There is no useful KTM walk from Ipoh station. The roundabout is a 15 to 20 minute drive from the station depending on the Greentown lights. Parking is the usual roundabout gamble on event nights. Festival Budaya Malaysia used this same circle in June, so you already know how badly it fills when a stage is booked.
The opening-night photos also show takeaway boxes on the lawn tables. That is the dining style: camp chairs, not tablecloths. If it rains, you are in a cabin queue under a roof, not in a dining room. Wear shoes you can walk the grass in.

Bean Here! started in 2020 at Perak Techno Trade Centre. Silver Lifestyle has since run three formats: Kiosk Uber Concept, Cafe Swanky Bar and Kiosk Petite. Besides BSAS, the brand is already at Hotel Casuarina@Meru and at KPTM Ipoh. Kosmo and Utusan covered the campus opening in April. The KPTM kiosk is a black coffee-and-pastry counter under warehouse lights, which is the opposite mood from the BSAS lawn, but it is the same operator and the same board of drinks.
Harris Mohd Rodzi, who handles operations and marketing at Silver Lifestyle, said the campus menu refresh was aimed at students. That is why the Spanish latte and cinnamon latte showed up there first. The BSAS cabin is aimed at a mixed evening crowd on public land. Do not expect the same pastry case at midnight on a Sunday. Do expect the brand to keep using PKNPk sites, because that is the ownership.
If you are mapping a coffee day rather than a single stop, put this cabin at the end. Start with a white coffee in Old Town, walk the riverfront if you are in town for Ipoh Coffee Vibes from 10 to 13 September, then come out to Meru after 4pm if you still want a seat on the grass.
